Introduction

Aloo Palak is a traditional Pakistani and Indian vegetable dish made with fresh spinach and potatoes. It is healthy, budget-friendly, and perfect for everyday meals. This dish is rich in iron, fiber, and essential nutrients.



Ingredients

  • Fresh spinach (washed & chopped) – 2 cups

  • Potatoes (cubed) – 2 medium

  • Onion (finely chopped) – 1

  • Garlic paste – 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon

  • Salt – to taste

  • Cooking oil – 3 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Method

  1. Heat oil in a pan.

  2. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.

  3. Add chopped onion and sauté until light golden.

  4. Add garlic paste, turmeric, and salt. Mix well.

  5. Add potatoes and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.

  6. Add chopped spinach and mix gently.

  7. Cover the pan and cook until potatoes become soft.

  8. Cook uncovered for 2–3 minutes to remove extra moisture.

  9. Turn off the heat and serve.
