Basmati rice – 3 cups (soaked 30 minutes)

Bay leaf – 1

Cloves – 4

Cardamom – 4

Yellow food color – a pinch

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken Masala


1. Heat oil in a pot and fry sliced onions until golden brown.

2. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute.

3. Add chicken pieces and fry until color changes.

4. Add tomatoes, yogurt, biryani masala, red chili, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt.

5. Cook on medium heat until the oil separates.
