Chicken Tikka Sandwich Recipe (Pakistani Style)



Chicken Tikka Sandwich is a popular Pakistani street-food style sandwich made with juicy tikka-marinated chicken, fresh vegetables, and creamy chutney sauce. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or evening snacks.

  • 4 sandwich bread slices or buns

  • 1 small onion (thinly sliced)

  • 1 small tomato (sliced)

  • Lettuce or cabbage (shredded)

  • Butter (for toasting)

For Sauce

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp mint chutney

  • 1 tbsp ketchup

  • ½ tsp black pepper

Step 1: Marinate Chicken

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, spices, lemon juice, oil, and salt.

  2. Add chicken and marinate for 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).

Step 2: Cook Chicken

  1. Heat a pan or grill.

  2. Cook chicken on medium heat until fully cooked and lightly charred.

  3. Set aside.

Step 3: Prepare Sauce

Mix mayonnaise, mint chutney, ketchup, and black pepper in a bowl.

Step 4: Assemble Sandwich

  1. Lightly butter and toast bread slices.

  2. Spread sauce on one side.

  3. Add lettuce, cooked chicken tikka, onion, and tomato.

  4. Cover with another bread slice.

Step 5: Serve

Cut in half and serve hot.
